Victor Vasarely made art and sculpture using optical illusions. Vasarely’s style of art was geometric and abstract using lines and shapes with colour to fool our eyes and our mind into seeing something that wasnt really there.
He was born on 9th April 1906 and died on 15th March 1997 at the age of 90. He was born in Hungary and later lived in Paris, France. He is known as the “grandfather” and leader of the Op art movement.
