Gaisce Awards

The Irish word Gaisce means ‘great achievement’ and this award truly lives up to the name. This award was established in 1985 by the founder, President Patrick. J Hillery and has been continued by the incoming presidents.

The Gaisce is a self-development programme which is shaped by four pillars:

  • Empowerment,

Today I was so honoured to be able to participate in, and celebrate the incredible achievements of 54 young adults who achieved their Bronze and silver Gaisce awards. They showed such resilience and determination in a what has been a very difficult year, to keep going and to get their awards.
